KFC wanted to launch its new slogan “finger biting taste” with an effective project in digital platforms. The phrase defines delicious foods in Turkey. Now that fingers are more important more than ever in the age of social media, we launched our project with KFC’s social media director. Then we executed our project by making every KFC fan bite their fingers.
On the morning of launch, we started to send tweets with typo from our KFC social media accounts and aroused the curiosity. After posted the first tweet, people who uses social media were started to talk about us organically on Twitter. Some of them thought the KFC Twitter account was hacked, and some of them thought our account was hacked.
In a short time, our project entered in the Trend Topic list in 9th place and rose to 2nd place in a little while. About 7,000 people tweeted about the campaign and close to 215,000 interacted. The event was featured on 8 different national news sites. In the 1-day campaign, the slogan #ParmakIsırtanLezzet has reached more than 27 million views.
